Armed with degrees in Cello Performance from Southern Methodist University and Northwestern University, Oliver trained under legendary pedagogues including Danish cellist Hans Jørgen Jensen (featured in Daniel Coyle's "The Talent Code") and Orlando Cole of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, among principal cellists from seven major symphony orchestras.
